Survey: Russia’s mobile service prices fall 4% since August 2017

MOSCOW, May 11 (PRIME) -- The average price of a minimal bundle plan of Russian mobile operators has fallen 4% since August 2017 to 258.3 rubles, analytical agency Content Review said in a research note on Friday.

“The affordability index used to be highly influenced by a region’s income level, but now the tariff plans have really changed considerably in all regions and for all operators. In the spring of 2018, adjustable tariff plans became available for subscribers of almost all mobile operators, which allowed for optimization of communication expenses significantly,” Content Review CEO Sergei Polovnikov said.

The survey includes most pre-paid bundle plans providing at least 1 gigabyte of mobile internet access and voice calls of MTS, VimpelCom, working as Beeline, and Tele 2, as well as Win Mobile, KrymTelecom, SevMobile and Volna Mobile operating in the Crimea.
